​Academician Johannes (Hans) Thieo Lambers visited our college and gave an academic report

On the morning of November 2, 2019, Johannes (Hans) Thieo Lambers, an academician of the Australian Academy of Sciences, an academician of the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a professor of the Department of Natural and Agricultural Sciences of the University of Western Australia, was invited to give a lecture in our lecture hall 105 on the theme of Preparing your results for publication-Maximising your chances to get your manuscript rapidly accepted (preparation for publication-maximizing the chances of your manuscript being accepted quickly. The lecture was presided over by Professor Li Huashou of the College of Resources and Environment. Some teachers and students from the South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jinan University and teachers and students of our college attended the lecture.

Professor Hans has been the editor-in-chief of Plant and Soil, the mainstream publication of SCI in the field of soil science and plants since 1992, and served as the editorial board of Physiologia Plantarum, Plant Cell&Environment, Functional Plant Biology and Tree Physiology. He is a world-renowned plant physioecologist. Hans academician has published more than 400 papers. Since 2001, he has been the author of ISI high-frequency citations (more than 20000 times). The famous textbook Plant Physiological Ecology (2nd edition, 2008) has been cited more than 3000 times. At this lecture, Professor Hans gave a comprehensive account of the scientific research preparation, structure and writing tips of academic papers based on the experience of academic journal editors and senior scientists. Through the cases of specific papers, the academician of Hans shared the matters needing attention in the design of scientific research experiments and the writing of various parts of the paper, and exchanged experiences on the response and revision of opinions on manuscript review. During the lecture exchange session, President Wang Jianwu and the teachers and students of our college had an interactive discussion with Professor Hans. The atmosphere was warm, and the teachers and students at the meeting said that they had gained a lot. Professor Hans was also moved by the enthusiasm and willingness of teachers and students to learn.
